Total Nitrogen in Streams

Summary

Abstract: 

As part of the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) project in the McMurdo Dry Valleys of Antarctica, a systematic aqueous geochemical sampling program has been undertaken. A series of terrestrial water samples have been collected and analyzed for dissolved total nitrogen levels. This dataset shows concentrations of total nitrogen (in filtered samples) found in various streams of the McMurdo Dry Valleys.

Methodology

Methods: 

Samples are analyzed by chemiluminescence using a Shimadzu TOC-V Total Organic Carbon Analyzer with the TNM-1 add-on unit.

Maintenance: 

Inigo San Gil moved the metadata and data to DEIMS to improve McMurdo LTER services in 2015 Chris Gardner (data manager) created the stream_tn Oracle table in summer 2006 based on the stream DOC table.
