AGU EOS: Dry Valley streams contribute important nutrients to the Ross Sea

The latest edition of American Geophysical Union's Earth & Space Science News (EOS) Research Spotlights highlights research performed by former graduate student Sydney Olund and PI emeritus Berry Lyons in which they've discovered McMurdo Dry Valley streams contribute important nutrients, such as iron and phosphorus, to coastal phytoplankton communities living in the Ross Sea. Their study, recently published in the Journal of Geophysical Research: Biogeosciences, highlights the importance of local nutrient inputs to the Southern Ocean.
